Life is a journey.
So I want to travel as much as I can.
FRANCE
My first trip to France was in 2006, for about 10 days with my parents. We originally signed up for a group tour to see Paris and the North of France, but it was frustrating to travel with a group, eat the same meal as others every time, and stick to a schedule. We extended our stay after the group tour, to see the South of France - and it was such a good idea! We saw so many beautiful places, ate whatever we wanted, and enjoyed our freedom. I never imagined I would come back to live though! Now I am in a small city in the south, Gap - just got married to a French man! (And we met in India!) I do not have the luxurity of traveling a lot anymore, but enjoy weekend trips to other cities near by. Here are a little pieces of France....

Avignon
June 13 - 15, 2014
Avignon is very popular with the song "Sur le Pont d'Avignon?", which sings about the bridge of Avignon. 7 Popes lived in the city between 1309 and 1377, and the city is an important historical siteand the center of the city is surrounded by walls, and Palais des Papes, the cathedral, and the famous Pont d'Avignon are all UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Gap
June 4, 2014 - indefinite
Gap is a city where I reside at the moment, which is located 2 hour drive north from Avignon or Aix=en=Provence. It is not a popular visiting place for foreigners, but the city has a quite large number of visitors from other parts of France, or neighboring countries who drive through France. The population is about 41,000, and the major attraction of the city is that the city center is so small that you can do a lot on foot - visiting churches, shopping, dining, going to post office, and so on. I love just love this city!
Nice
October 23 - October 24, 2014
November 13 - November 14, 2014
Nice, pronounced not nais like in English, but niːs - is a large city located in the south of France. It's the forth-largest city in France, and is a very famous tourist destination since it is by the Mediterranean sea, offering visitors sunshine, beautiful beaches, and variety of culinary.
I visited twice both for a short time because we were picking up and then dropping off my husband's brother from/at the Nice Airport, who was visiting from Thailand. It was a very short visit, but the city was very lovely that I fell in love immediately - it seems like I love every city I visit, but Nice is definitely in top 3!
Aix-En-Provence
